Based in Cape Coral Florida at Mariner High School, students from across the country have joined together and formed the Tech Warriors, First Tech team 6092. Coming from having no mentors and little funding we persevered through the competition season, finding how to work with more constraints than just size. At first we felt that we were thrown into a boiling pot of lava, but in the end we crawled out and found that we had created camaraderie, gracious professionalism, life changing exposure, and skills that will even help us in our future careers.
We are a yearlong and dedicated club designed to provide innovative students an opportunity to showcase their potential and grow their inner self. We are diverse bothsocially and activity wise. During the year we not only participate in FTC competitions; we participate in TSA (Technology Student Association), Vex, and of course FTC (First® Tech Challenge). Many students in conjunction with robotics participate in band, sports, and volunteer work.
In the season we had days where we woke up to go to school and never came home until the night. Morphing our ideas as problems arose, we learned to use both theory and practicality. After many changes we came up with a final design that cannot just score but can also lift another robot. This is our second year as a group together, and we have accomplished success in all parts of our team.
